LEWISBURG, Pa. (Interstat) — Bucknell Bison defeated Navy Midshipmen 16-4 on Sunday afternoon at Eugene B. Depew Field in a Patriot League game. The Bison banged out 17 hits and executed four sacrifice flies to improve to 25-22. Navy fell to 30-18.

Bucknell broke a 4-4 tie with a five-run fourth inning. Zach Selfon had two hits and four RBIs. Michael Chiaravallo drove in three runs, and Ty Lagoni tripled in three runs in the sixth. Jake Schultz struck out three over six innings for the win, allowing three earned runs on eight hits. Tyler Hawkins added three innings of relief, giving up one earned run.

Navy scored twice in the fifth on John Hooten’s two-run homer, his only hit. Andrew Manning had an RBI single in the sixth. The Midshipmen totaled nine hits. Sachin Gopal pitched a scoreless inning for Navy.

The teams play again Monday and Tuesday.
