DAVIS, Calif. (Interstat) — Keenan Anzai threw a complete-game one-hitter Thursday, leading UC Davis to a 5-0 win over Cal State Bakersfield at Dobbins Baseball Complex.

The Aggies scored once in the first inning on Ethan Felix’s bases-loaded walk. They added two runs in the fifth, one on a Roadrunner error and another on Ryan Lee’s fielder’s choice. Lee added a sacrifice fly in the seventh before Joey Wright’s RBI single capped the scoring.

Anzai was dominant, striking out six and walking none over nine innings. Ryan King took the loss for Cal State Bakersfield, allowing three runs over five innings despite not surrendering a hit. The Roadrunners’ lone hit off Anzai was not specified.

UC Davis improved to 14-17. Cal State Bakersfield fell to 14-19. The teams continue their series Friday.
