PRINCETON, N.J. (Interstat) — The Yale Bulldogs edged the Princeton Tigers 7-6 in a Friday evening baseball game at Clarke Field.

Yale built a 7-2 lead with a four-run sixth inning, highlighted by Garrett Larsen’s two-run single. Princeton first baseman Tomas Cernius opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the first and added a sacrifice fly during a three-run fifth that tightened the game. The Tigers brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth but could not complete the comeback.

Yale starter Daniel Cohen earned the win, allowing four runs over six innings. Reliever Tate Evans pitched three perfect innings for the save. Yale improved to 14-9, while Princeton fell to 7-17. The teams continue their series with a doubleheader Saturday.
