Le Moyne at Delaware State
Preview: Le Moyne Dolphins (0-9) at Delaware State Hornets (0-11)
DOVER, Del. (Interstat) — Two teams in search of their first win of the season will meet Monday when the Le Moyne Dolphins visit the Delaware State Hornets.
First pitch is set for the afternoon at a to-be-determined venue.
Both programs have endured difficult starts to the 2026 campaign. The Dolphins (0-9) are coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of North Carolina, including a 21-1 loss on March 1. The Hornets (0-11) were just swept in a four-game series by Bethune-Cookman, being outscored 57-15.
A player to watch for Le Moyne is reliever Nathan Hiscox. In his last two appearances against James Madison and North Carolina, he has combined for two scoreless innings, allowing no hits. For Delaware State, reliever James Breen has shown recent effectiveness, striking out two in a scoreless inning against Bethune-Cookman on March 1.
The Dolphins’ offense has struggled, scoring three or fewer runs in seven of their nine games. The Hornets have been shut out four times already this season.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, Monday’s contest projects to be a tight pitchers’ duel, with a predicted final score of Le Moyne 1, Delaware State 0.
Following this game, Le Moyne begins a three-game series at New Haven on Friday. Delaware State travels to face Maryland-Baltimore County on Wednesday.
