DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Interstat) — Edwin Sanchez struck out nine over five shutout innings, leading Bethune-Cookman to a 15-0 victory over Delaware State on Saturday in the opener of a doubleheader.

Sanchez allowed just two hits to dominate from the start. The Wildcats’ offense provided ample support, scoring in five of their six at-bats. Darryl Lee went 3 for 3 with two RBIs and Christopher Watson drove in three runs.

The Wildcats capitalized on three passed balls and a wild pitch from Hornets pitchers, scoring four unearned runs. Bethune-Cookman improved to 7-3. Delaware State managed only four hits and fell to 0-9.
