ORLANDO, Fla. (Interstat) — The UCF Knights pounded 15 hits and scored seven runs in the first inning Saturday on their way to a 13-1 victory over Siena at Jay Bergman Field.

Siena took a brief 1-0 lead in the first on Jake Sparks’ fielder’s choice, but UCF responded immediately. Andrew Skinner had a two-run double and four RBIs, while Braden Lodise added a solo homer, a sacrifice fly and three RBIs for the Knights (2-0).

UCF capitalized on two Siena errors, scoring four unearned runs. The Saints (0-2) managed only three hits and have been outscored 29-1 in the series. The teams conclude the three-game set Sunday afternoon.
