(Interstat) — The Southern Illinois Salukis capitalized on early offense and weathered a mid-game rally to defeat the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles 4-2 in the season opener for both teams Friday evening at J.L. Johnson Stadium. Southern Illinois, now 1-0, seized control in the first inning against Oral Roberts starter Easton Teel. Leadoff hitter K.
