KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Interstat) — Drew Howard singled down the right-field line with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, scoring Mason Pilarski from second base and lifting Western Michigan to a 7-6 victory over Northern Illinois on Saturday at Hyames Field. The Broncos completed a three-game sweep in the Mid-American Conference series, having won 12-2 on Friday and 8-6 on Thursday.
