WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Interstat) — Louisville visits Wake Forest on Friday for the second game of an Atlantic Coast Conference series at Gene Hooks Field at Wake Forest Baseball Park.

First pitch is scheduled under cloudy skies with a temperature of 69 degrees.

The Demon Deacons (29-17 overall) hold a three-game edge over the Cardinals (26-19) in the overall standings. The teams met Thursday in the series opener.

Louisville center fielder Lucas Moore enters the game on a hot streak. In his past 10 games, Moore has collected at least one hit in eight contests, including a 2-for-4 performance with an RBI in the Cardinals’ 10-6 loss to Indiana on Tuesday. For the season, Moore is hitting .298 with 12 RBIs and a .381 on-base percentage.

Wake Forest will counter with right-hander Duncan Marsten, who has been sharp over his past two outings. Marsten threw six innings of two-run ball with five strikeouts in a 3-2 win over Appalachian State on Tuesday. In his previous start, he tossed five shutout innings with six strikeouts against UNC Greensboro. On the season, Marsten has a 4.02 ERA with a 3-1 record in eight appearances.

The Cardinals have won four of their past five games but are coming off a loss Tuesday to Indiana. Louisville’s offense has been productive, scoring at least six runs in six of its past seven contests.

Wake Forest has won three of its past five games but dropped two of three at Georgia Tech over the weekend. The Demon Deacons’ pitching staff has been solid, allowing three or fewer runs in three of their past five outings.

The series continues Saturday. Louisville then travels to Vanderbilt on Tuesday before opening a three-game series at Miami (FL) on May 7. Wake Forest hosts Western Carolina for a three-game series beginning May 8 before traveling to Duke on May 14.
