Virginia Tech (22-20) enters the game after taking two of three from the Wolfpack, capped by a 5-4 win Sunday in which Ethan Ball went 2 for 2 with a home run and four RBIs. Lutz has been inconsistent: He allowed eight hits and six runs in 2⅔ innings against Appalachian State on April 19, but threw 5⅔ no-hit innings with one earned run in a loss at Georgia State on April 12. In his last four outings, Lutz has a 5.11 ERA with 16 strikeouts in 12⅔ innings.
