Air Force at Northern Colorado

GARDEN CITY, Colo. (Interstat) — Air Force looks to continue its recent dominance over Northern Colorado on Tuesday night, but the visiting Falcons will have to contend with cold and wet conditions at Jackson Field.

The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. MDT with a forecast of 55 degrees and rain.

Air Force (21-20) holds a decisive edge in the season series, having outscored the Bears 28-10 in two meetings this month — an 18-6 win on March 31 and a 10-4 victory on April 8. The Falcons bring momentum from a three-game home sweep of San Jose State over the weekend, outscoring the Spartans 47-21.

Northern Colorado (11-31) arrives after a 19-2 rout at South Dakota State on Saturday, breaking a three-game losing streak. The Bears have lost nine of their last 11 overall.

Players to watch

Air Force right-hander Patrick Davidson has been a reliable arm out of the bullpen. Over his last four appearances, the reliever has tossed 6.1 innings while allowing just one earned run and striking out nine. He threw three scoreless innings against San Jose State on Sunday, yielding one hit with four strikeouts.

Northern Colorado third baseman Brandon Sanchez is the Bears’ most consistent bat. He went 3-for-5 with four RBIs in Saturday’s win and has four multi-hit games in his last six contests. Sanchez also homered against Air Force on April 8, going 1-for-2 with an RBI.
