George Washington at Towson

GW (17-25) at Towson (15-25) Tuesday, April 28, 2026, afternoon John B. Schuerholz Baseball Complex, Towson, Md. Weather: 68 degrees, clouds

The George Washington Revolutionaries visit the Towson Tigers on Tuesday afternoon in a matchup of struggling teams near the bottom of their conferences. Both enter with identical 17-25 and 15-25 records, respectively, and each is coming off a lopsided loss Sunday.

George Washington dropped its third straight, an 8-5 defeat to Davidson at home. Towson was shut out 10-0 by Stony Brook, also at home. The Revolutionaries have lost five of their last seven, while Towson has lost seven of nine.

The teams met once earlier this season, with Towson earning a 7-6 win on March 11 in Washington.

Players to watch

For George Washington, right-handed reliever Jasper Nadel has been effective of late. Over his last four appearances (Interstat) — a total of 5.2 innings (Interstat) — he has allowed only one earned run while striking out two. On Sunday against Davidson, he threw two scoreless innings, surrendering one hit. Nadel also worked 1.2 hitless innings in a win at Georgetown on April 22.

Towson will counter with right-hander Matt Lynch, who has struggled with command. In his last six outings, Lynch has allowed six earned runs over 10.2 innings with five strikeouts. His best start came April 17 at Mercer, where he tossed five innings of one-run ball, allowing no hits and striking out three. In Sunday’s loss to Stony Brook, he gave up one earned run in 1.1 innings.

Forecast and simulation

The forecast calls for cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 60s (Interstat) — favorable for a midweek afternoon contest.

Interstat, a game simulator, projects a 5-1 victory for George Washington.

Up next

George Washington travels to George Mason for a three-game set beginning Friday. Towson opens a three-game series at Hofstra also on Friday.

Notes: The game is part of a midweek non-conference series. Both teams will look to snap losing streaks and build momentum before weekend conference play.
