MOBILE, Ala. (Interstat) — Tyler Weimer pitched 6 2/3 hitless innings and the Arkansas State Red Wolves routed the South Alabama Jaguars 10-0 on Thursday night at Eddie Stanky Field.
Weimer, coming off a rough outing against Texas State in which he allowed five earned runs in one inning, rebounded with a dominant performance. He struck out four and did not allow a hit until being pulled after 6 2/3 innings. Jack Nelson recorded the final out of the seventh inning to preserve the combined two-hit shutout.

The game’s decisive moment came in the top of the first inning. Ashton Quiller led off with a double to center field, and Lane Walton followed with a single to put runners at the corners. Patrick Engskov singled down the right-field line to drive in Quiller. After Engskov stole second, Cason Campbell doubled down the left-field line to score Walton and Engskov, giving Arkansas State a 4-0 lead before the Jaguars came to bat.
Arkansas State added a run in the third inning when Kaden Amundson singled to left field to drive in Evan Griffis, who had reached on a single and advanced on a wild pitch. Quiller capped the inning with a single that scored Amundson, who had reached on an error, making it 5-0.
