DURHAM, N.C. (Interstat) — Wake Forest scored five unearned runs in the first inning and rode a dominant pitching performance from Chris Levonas to defeat Duke 7-2 on Thursday at the Atlantic Coast Conference contest. The Demon Deacons improved to 37-17, while the Blue Devils dropped to 24-29. Levonas was the star, tossing six shutout innings with no hits allowed and 10 strikeouts. He did not issue a walk.
