LEWISBURG, Pa. (Interstat) — Holy Cross erupted for 14 runs on 15 hits to defeat Bucknell 14-5 in a Patriot League game Friday evening at Eugene B. Depew Field.

The Crusaders seized control with a 14-run third inning, highlighted by a three-run homer from Alex Sandell and a two-run shot from John LaFleur. Bucknell’s Garrett Mathias homered and drove in three runs for the Bison.

Holy Cross starter Jake Lenahan earned the win, pitching four scoreless innings with three strikeouts. The victory improved Holy Cross to 15-16, while Bucknell fell to 18-13. The teams continue their series with a doubleheader Saturday.
