CAPE SAINT CLAIRE, Md. (Interstat) — Brady Hoar tossed seven no-hit innings and Garrett Mathias hit a two-run homer in the first to propel Bucknell to a 3-1 victory over Navy on Sunday evening at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium.

The Bison (9-11, 2-1 Patriot) clinched the weekend series after the teams split a doubleheader Saturday. Mathias connected off Owen Phypers in the opening frame, driving in Billy Fluharty, who finished 4 for 5. Fluharty added an RBI single in the seventh.

Hoar was dominant, allowing one earned run with two strikeouts before Jake Schultz earned a two-inning save with three strikeouts. Navy (15-8, 1-2) broke up the no-hit bid and shutout in the eighth on Will Howard’s RBI groundout.
