ANNAPOLIS, Md. (Interstat) — Bucknell broke open a tight game with a six-run seventh inning to defeat Navy 7-3 on Saturday in the first game of a Patriot League doubleheader at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium.

The Bison, held to one run through six innings by Navy starter Brady Bendik, sent 11 men to the plate in the decisive frame. Zach Selfon’s two-run single and Ryan Facinelli’s three-run double keyed the outburst. Bucknell finished with 10 hits.

Mikey Myro earned the win for Bucknell, allowing three earned runs over five innings. Ty DePerno provided Navy’s offense with a two-run homer in the first inning. The Midshipmen managed only three hits total. Bucknell improved to 8-10, while Navy fell to 14-7.
