North Florida at Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (Interstat) — The Alabama Crimson Tide will look to continue its strong start to the season when it hosts the North Florida Ospreys in a nonconference baseball game Saturday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.

First pitch is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, though the forecast calls for rain and a temperature of 78 degrees.

Alabama (11-3) has won nine of its last 11 games, including a 13-4 road victory over Alabama State on Wednesday. The Crimson Tide’s offense has been potent, averaging over eight runs per game during that stretch.

A key contributor has been designated hitter Brady Neal. The sophomore is coming off a 2-for-4, two-RBI performance against Alabama State and has homered twice in his last five games, driving in eight runs over that span.

North Florida (8-6) arrives after being shut out 4-0 by Villanova on Wednesday. The Ospreys had won three straight prior to that loss, including a series sweep over Presbyterian.

A player to watch for the Ospreys is reliever Kai Etwaru. The right-hander has been excellent in recent outings, not allowing an earned run over his last 5 1/3 innings pitched while striking out nine batters. He threw two perfect innings with two strikeouts in the loss to Villanova.

The teams opened their three-game series Friday, with Alabama securing a victory.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Saturday’s contest is projected to be a tight one, with a predicted final score of Alabama 7, North Florida 6.

The series will conclude Sunday in Tuscaloosa. Alabama will then host Troy on Tuesday before opening Southeastern Conference play at Kentucky next weekend. North Florida travels to face Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday before beginning ASUN Conference action at Stetson.
