STILLWATER, Okla. (Interstat) — Ethan Lund struck out 12 over six innings Saturday as Oklahoma State evened its series with Gardner-Webb, securing a 4-2 win at O’Brate Stadium. Lund allowed two earned runs on five hits. The Cowboys scored first on an RBI single by Smithwick in the first. TP Wentworth tied it 2-2 with a solo homer in the second. Oklahoma State took the lead for good in the fourth when Wentworth scored on an error. An RBI single by Meola in the seventh provided insurance. Stormy Rhodes pitched two scoreless innings in relief. Gardner-Webb’s Allan Camarillo had an RBI single. The Cowboys improved to 10-4, while the Runnin’ Bulldogs fell to 10-5. The teams conclude the series Sunday.
