SAN FRANCISCO (Interstat) — San Francisco snapped a two-game skid in the series with a 3-2 win over California Baptist on Saturday evening at Dante Benedetti Diamond.

The Dons (6-4) scored all three runs in the first three innings. Brendan Burke drove in two, including a go-ahead RBI groundout in the third. Gauge Lockhart earned top star honors for the Dons with four scoreless innings of one-hit ball, striking out three.

The Lancers (9-3), who had outscored San Francisco 23-3 in the series’ first two games, were held to two runs despite eight hits. Diesel Toth went 3 for 3 and Riley Hunsaker had an RBI double. Four California Baptist relievers combined for 6 1/3 hitless innings, but an early unearned run proved decisive.
