UNC Asheville blanks High Point 11‑0 behind Boesen’s gem
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (Interstat) — Lucas Boesen pitched eight scoreless innings Friday afternoon as UNC Asheville routed High Point 11-0 in Big South play at Greenwood Baseball Field.
Boesen allowed three hits, struck out 11 and walked none. The Bulldogs (21-33) broke the game open with 10 runs in the eighth inning. Ben Green doubled in two runs and later added a single, finishing with four RBIs. Logan Lowe delivered a three-run double and drove in three runs. Ben Hemphill and Tyler Parks each had two hits and an RBI.
High Point starter Ty Brachbill (5 IP, 0 H, 1 ER, 3 K) took the loss. The Panthers (35-18) managed only three hits -- singles by Willie Ponce and Landen Johnson. UNC Asheville collected 11 hits.
