BEAUMONT, Texas (Interstat) — Three BYU pitchers combined for a no-hitter as the Cougars blanked Lamar 4-0 on Monday at Vincent-Beck Stadium.

Starter Austin Park led the effort with 4 1/3 hitless innings and five strikeouts. Relievers Luke Sterner and Ethan Zufall finished the final 4 2/3 frames without allowing a hit. The Cardinals managed only five baserunners, all on walks.

BYU scored all its runs in two innings. Easton Jones provided the key hit with a two-run double in the third. The Cougars added two unearned runs in the seventh, aided by a Lamar error.

BYU improved to 19-16. Lamar fell to 19-18.
