SHELBY, N.C. (Interstat) — Andrew Tinsley homered and drove in five runs as North Carolina A&T snapped a three-game skid with a 10-6 victory over Gardner-Webb on Tuesday night at John Henry Moss Stadium.

The Aggies (5-18) erupted early, with Tinsley’s three-run homer in the first inning setting the tone. He added a two-run single in the sixth. JT Taylor contributed three RBIs for North Carolina A&T, which built a 10-1 lead.

Gardner-Webb (13-12) scored five runs over the final three innings, including a two-run single by Thad Ector in the eighth, but could not complete the comeback. Braxton Davis earned the win with three hitless innings of relief for the Aggies, who defied projections favoring the Runnin’ Bulldogs.
