LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Interstat) — The Rider Broncs will look to complete a three-game Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference sweep of the Siena Saints on Sunday at Sonny Pittaro Field.

First pitch is scheduled for the afternoon. The weather forecast calls for clear skies and a temperature of 49 degrees.

Rider (7-5) has taken the first two games of the series, including a decisive 10-1 victory on Saturday. The Broncs’ Kyle Batt was dominant in that win, tossing eight scoreless innings while allowing just four hits and striking out three. Kyle Neri went 4 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs, and Nick Shuhet added a grand slam.

Siena (6-10) will aim to salvage the series finale. A player to watch for the Saints is David Siciliano, who started Saturday’s loss. Over his last five appearances, Siciliano has shown volatility, mixing outings with no hits allowed but high run totals, including a five-earned-run performance against Rider despite not allowing a hit in five innings of work.

The Broncs have won four of their last five games. After Sunday, Rider begins a three-game series at Mount Saint Mary’s next Friday.

The Saints have lost three straight. Following this contest, Siena travels to face Binghamton on Tuesday.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is Siena 7, Rider 5.
