SAINTS, BRONCS SET FOR METRO ATLANTIC REMATCH
LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (March 14, 2026) (Interstat) — The Siena Saints and Rider Broncs will meet for the second straight day at Sonny Pittaro Field on Saturday, with first pitch scheduled for the afternoon.
The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foes opened their series Friday with Rider (6-5) edging Siena (6-9) 4-3. The rematch will be played under cloudy skies with temperatures near 42 degrees.
A marquee pitching matchup is expected. Siena’s Tyler Sausville, who took the loss Friday despite a strong outing, is likely to get the ball again. He threw six shutout innings, allowing just two earned runs, in that contest. Over his last three starts, he has a 2.25 ERA with 14 strikeouts in 16.2 innings.
Rider will counter with PJ Craig, who earned Friday’s win. The right-hander limited the Saints to two earned runs over 6.2 innings, striking out six. In his previous start on March 7 at Sacred Heart, Craig fired six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts.
The Broncs’ bullpen secured the one-run victory Friday, with Christian Aiello recording the final seven outs. Nick Shuhet provided key offense, going 2-for-3 with a home run and an RBI. Siena’s Scott Lynch was 3-for-4 with two RBIs in the loss.
Siena arrives having lost four of its last five games. Rider has won two of its last three.
Projections for Saturday’s game are split. Interstat’s game simulator predicts a 7-5 Siena victory, while the same service’s ELO rating system gives Rider a 77.5% probability to win.
Following Saturday’s contest, the teams will conclude the three-game series Sunday afternoon at Sonny Pittaro Field.
