FAIRFAX, Va. (Interstat) — The Georgetown Hoyas built an early five-run lead and withstood a late push to defeat the George Mason Patriots 5-4 at Spuhler Field on Sunday, March 8, 2026, securing a series victory.

Starter Spencer Seid earned the win for Georgetown, allowing three earned runs over five innings. The Hoyas struck first with a three-run third inning, highlighted by a two-run double from Ashtin Gilio. Connor Price and Christian Hamilton later added solo home runs.

George Mason chipped away, scoring twice in the fourth and single runs in the fifth and seventh. Owen Clyne and Lucas Alberti each drove in two runs for the Patriots. The tying run was left on base in the final innings.

Georgetown improved to 10-6 overall. George Mason fell to 6-7.
