GREENVILLE, N.C. (Interstat) — Evan Myers and two relievers combined on a six-hit shutout Sunday as Western Carolina blanked East Carolina 2-0 at Clark–LeClair Stadium.

Myers set the tone, pitching five hitless innings with one strikeout. James Fordham followed with three perfect innings before Owen Austin closed it in the ninth. The Catamounts (8-3) managed 10 hits off four Pirates pitchers, scoring both runs early. Trent Turner hit a solo home run in the third inning.

Colby Weber took the loss for East Carolina (6-5), allowing two runs over 5 1/3 innings despite seven strikeouts. The Pirates’ offense stranded eight baserunners.
