User Node

The meta node is stamped with the authorized National Statistical account username attached to the API key, the sport levels the account is authorized to access via the API, and information about rate limits.

All National Statistical API-enabled accounts are rate limited. Rate limits for standard accounts reset at the top of each hour. Accounts with API+ reset every day at midnight ET. The user node includes information on the API key's current rate limitation status.

In various extreme cases, the API may need to automatically throttle your access to protect the service for other users. Via throttle-level (expressed in seconds), the system extends you the courtesy to let you know when it's happening.
