The visiting Diablos Rojos seized control with a 29-point first quarter and never trailed, overcoming the Astros’ best-in-league record. Michael Carrera led the winners with 18 points and nine rebounds. Rigoberto Mendoza scored 17 points for the Astros, who were projected as heavy favorites.
