GUANAJUATO, Mexico (Interstat) — Shaquille Johnson scored 23 points to lead Lobos Plateados past visiting Irapuato 75-63 on Monday. Tyran De Lattibeaudiere added 16 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks for Lobos Plateados, which improved to 14-9. Thomas Scrubb had eight points, six rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Ivan Montano scored nine points, and J. Gutierrez contributed five points and four rebounds. For Irapuato, Billy Garrett scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds. Franger Pirela added 16 points and six rebounds, while Brandon Boyd scored 12 points. Derek Fountain had seven points, four rebounds and two blocks, and Zachary Garrett Brown finished with four points, seven rebounds and four assists. Irapuato, which fell to 7-16, shot 22 of 61 from the floor, 6 of 29 from 3-point range and 13 of 17 from the free throw line. Lobos Plateados shot 26 of 66 overall, 9 of 26 from 3-point range and 14 of 17 at the line. Both teams committed 12 turnovers. Lobos Plateados held a 12-8 edge in offensive rebounds and led 56-46 after three quarters.
