Quimsa led 25-14 after the first quarter and extended the margin to 56-27 by halftime. Platense rallied with 26 points in the third quarter, but Quimsa answered with 16 in the period and closed out the win. Quimsa shot 13 of 30 from 3-point range and 23 of 28 from the free-throw line. Platense shot 9 of 28 from beyond the arc and 14 of 16 from the line. Quimsa had 14 assists, 3 blocks and 3 offensive rebounds, while Platense finished with 6 assists, 2 blocks and 9 offensive rebounds. Platense committed 27 fouls and 17 turnovers; Quimsa had 17 fouls and 14 turnovers. Platense’s record is now 1-1. Quimsa improved to 1-0. Platense next hosts La Union on Tuesday.
