CANCUN (Interstat) — Lobos Plateados defeated Cancun El Calor 90-77 on Wednesday, using a decisive third quarter to pull away on the road. Lobos Plateados outscored Cancun El Calor 29-16 in the third quarter after leading 39-37 at halftime. The visitors opened with a 27-20 first-quarter edge, then Cancun El Calor trimmed the margin with a 17-12 second period. Cancun El Calor won the fourth quarter 24-22. Michael Mayers paced Lobos Plateados with 14 points and 14 rebounds, adding one block. Eric Washington added 12 points and five assists, while Tekele Cotton had nine points, six rebounds and two assists. Tyran De Lattibeaudiere and Ivan Montano each scored 10 points, and Shaquille Johnson contributed eight points and nine assists. For Cancun El Calor, Francis King scored 28 points with four rebounds and four assists. Gelvis Solano added 14 points, four rebounds and four assists, and Jarell Eddie had 10 points and five rebounds. Willie Reed added six points and five rebounds. Lobos Plateados improved to 12-9. Cancun El Calor fell to 9-12.
