GUADALAJARA (Interstat) — Jal. Astros defeated Gambusinos 96-89 on Tuesday at Unidad Deportiva Avila Camacho in Guadalajara, Mexico. Rigoberto Mendoza had 11 points, seven rebounds, nine assists and one block for Astros. J. Cruz Saldivar F. added 14 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists. For Gambusinos, Jezreel De Jesus scored 22 points with four rebounds and four assists. Kameron Hankerson added 19 points. Ke Jhan Feagin scored 12 points with five assists. Will Yoakum added 10 points and one block for Astros. Tomislav Zubcic scored 15 points. Michale Kyser had 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Avery Anderson scored eight points. Barret Benson scored 12 points. Astros led 25-23 after the first quarter, 56-42 at halftime and 77-69 through three quarters. Gambusinos outscored Astros 27-21 in the third quarter and 20-19 in the fourth, but Astros held on. Astros improved to 10-9. Gambusinos fell to 8-11. The teams are scheduled to meet again.
