FRESNILLO, Mexico (Interstat) — The Gambusinos defeated the San Luis Potosi Santos 89-77 on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, in Mexican LNBP play. Gambusinos improved to 7-17 this season, while San Luis Potosi dropped to 8-14. The home side controlled the matchup and secured the win despite the Santos’ efforts to stay close. San Luis Potosi, known as Santos, entered after a win at Correcaminos and two home victories over Zacatecas. The visitors could not overcome Gambusinos’ scoring balance and defensive pressure. Gambusinos had lost consecutive games at Soles before returning home for this league contest. The victory gave the home team a needed result in a difficult campaign. San Luis Potosi will have little time to regroup, as both teams are scheduled to meet again Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at Gambusinos. Gambusinos will then travel to face Zacatecas on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, and Monday, Sept. 21, 2026. San Luis Potosi is set to host Lobos Plateados on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, and Monday, Sept. 21, 2026. The game was organized by the Mexican LNBP. Gambusinos earned the home victory.
