CANCUN (Interstat) — The Mexican LNBP will stage a matchup Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, when Diablos Rojos visit Cancun El Calor. Diablos Rojos carry a 22-15 record into the game, while Cancun El Calor is 8-17. The contest is part of the league’s regular-season schedule and will be played in Cancun.

Diablos Rojos enter after a 96-91 home win over Correcaminos on Sept. 16. The team also beat Correcaminos 107-79 on Sept. 15. Santiago Scala is a player to watch for Diablos Rojos. In the 96-91 victory, Scala played 34 minutes and finished with 27 points, five rebounds and 13 assists. In the 107-79 win, he played 16 minutes and had 16 points, three rebounds and two assists. Diablos Rojos also dropped a road game at Dorados 86-70 on July 31 and split two July games against Aguascalientes, winning 91-88 on July 24 and losing 91-80 on July 23. Earlier in the season, Diablos Rojos lost at Fuerza Regia 84-74 on Nov. 10, 2025, and won at Fuerza Regia 90-75 on Nov. 8, 2025. They also lost at Fuerza Regia 100-83 on Nov. 7, 2025, and dropped home games to Fuerza Regia 87-78 on Nov. 4 and 96-75 on Nov. 3.

Cancun El Calor enters after a 97-86 loss at Dorados on Sept. 16. The team also fell 91-89 at Dorados on Sept. 15. Francis King is a player to watch for Cancun El Calor. In the 97-86 loss, King played 35 minutes and scored 31 points with three rebounds. In the 91-89 loss, he played 23 minutes and posted 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Cancun El Calor has lost its last four games, including road defeats at Lobos Plateados on July 24 and July 23. Earlier in the season, Cancun El Calor won 70-69 at Xalapa on Oct. 3, 2025, lost 71-65 at home to Xalapa on Oct. 6, 2025, and fell 83-52 at Xalapa on Oct. 2, 2025. The team also won 93-88 at Gambusinos on Sept. 20, 2025, and lost 81-68 at Gambusinos on Sept. 19, 2025.

The most recent head-to-head meetings both went to Diablos Rojos, with both games played at Cancun El Calor. Diablos Rojos won 84-83 on Sept. 27, 2025, and 73-71 on Sept. 26, 2025. The teams are scheduled to meet again Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, at Cancun El Calor. Both teams list that rematch as their next contest.
