SCARBOROUGH, Ontario (Interstat) — The Niagara River Lions defeated the Scarborough Shooting Stars 86-84 in a Canadian Elite Basketball League game at Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026.

Niagara improved to 1-0 while Scarborough fell to 2-1, losing for the first time this season. The teams were tied at 19 after the first quarter, and Scarborough led 43-37 at halftime. Niagara outscored the Shooting Stars 31-26 in the third quarter and closed with an 18-15 edge in the fourth.

Anthony Walker led all scorers with 24 points, five rebounds, one assist and one block. Michael Foster recorded 16 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. Nathan Cayo added 16 points, seven rebounds and one assist. Khalil Ahmad had 17 points, five rebounds and one assist. Charles Bediako chipped in nine points, four rebounds and two blocks. Myles Powell added 18 points, five rebounds and six assists. Khalil Miller finished with 11 rebounds, two points and two blocks. Elijah Lufile added six points and eight rebounds. Munis Tutu finished with 10 points, two rebounds and three assists. Kyle Vinales contributed 13 points, four assists and one rebound.
