PONCE, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — Thomas Robinson scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Ponce edged Aguada 106-105 in double overtime Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, at Juan Pachin Vicens Auditorium. Ponce improved to 1-0, while Aguada dropped to 0-1.

Aguada trailed 19-13 after the first quarter and 38-36 at halftime. Aguada outscored Ponce 30-21 in the third to take a 66-59 lead. Ponce answered 26-19 in the fourth to tie at 85. Both teams scored seven in the first overtime, and Ponce won the second 14-13.

Robinson was Ponce’s top star. Jezreel De Jesus scored 25 points. Jalen Crutcher had 16 points and 13 assists while playing 50 minutes. Alejandro Vasquez added 15 points and seven rebounds. Brady Manek scored 10 and pulled down nine rebounds. For Aguada, Joel Soriano had 32 points, 16 rebounds and two assists. John Holland scored 23, Manny Camper 19, Rigoberto Mendoza 15 and Jake Wiley seven with 11 rebounds.
