Gambusinos vs. Fuerza Regia
SAN PEDRO GARZA GARCÍA, Mexico (Interstat) — Gambusinos will try to complete a two-game sweep of Fuerza Regia when the teams meet Thursday night at Gimnasio Nuevo León in an LNBP matchup.
Gambusinos enter with a 3-4 record across all competitions. They beat Fuerza Regia 82-74 on Wednesday at the same venue, their first meeting of this set. Fuerza Regia, now 4-3, will look to even the series and defend its home court in the Mexican League.
Interstat’s ELO system projects Fuerza Regia as the strong favorite, giving the home side a 93.80 percent probability to win.
Gambusinos will lean on forward KiAndre Gaddy. Gaddy has scored in double figures six times over his last 10 games, including a 23-point, 6-rebound performance against Diablos Rojos on Aug. 16. He also had 21 points against Aguascalientes on Aug. 6 and 15 points at Dorados on Aug. 11.
Fuerza Regia will counter with forward Wayne Langston. Langston has reached double figures in seven of his last 10 games, highlighted by a 24-point, 10-rebound outing against Irapuato on Aug. 16. He also scored 17 points at Aguascalientes on July 30 and 16 points against Soles on July 25.
Both teams have experienced tight stretches this season. Gambusinos lost three straight before Wednesday’s win over Fuerza Regia. Fuerza Regia won four straight from Aug. 9-16, including two against Diablos Rojos and two against Irapuato.
The rematch marks the end of a quick back-to-back between the teams. After Thursday, Gambusinos will host Irapuato on Aug. 24 and Aug. 25. Fuerza Regia will visit Lobos Plateados on those same dates.
Tipoff is scheduled for Thursday night at Gimnasio Nuevo León in San Pedro Garza García.
