SAN PEDRO GARZA GARCÍA, Mexico (Interstat) — Fuerza Regia hosts Irapuato on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, in an LNBP regular-season matchup at Gimnasio Nuevo León, with both teams carrying identical 2-2 records.

Fuerza Regia arrives with momentum after a pair of road victories over Diablos Rojos. It outlasted Diablos Rojos 95-94 on Monday, when Daniel Bejarano delivered 20 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Avry Holmes added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists, and Alphonso Anderson contributed 16 points and 4 rebounds. Fuerza Regia also won 76-64 at Diablos Rojos on Sunday. Its two losses this season came at home against Dorados, 92-86 and 96-67.

Irapuato is coming off an 83-86 home loss to Correcaminos on Tuesday. Derek Fountain led Irapuato with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Zachary Brown added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, and Isaac Johnson scored 13 points. Irapuato’s other season results include a 99-96 home win over Correcaminos, an 86-82 road win at Diablos Rojos and a 73-99 loss at Diablos Rojos.

Fountain has been a steady presence for Irapuato. In his past seven games, he has averaged 12.4 points and 5.7 rebounds while playing about 23 minutes per game. He has scored in double figures five times during that stretch, including an 18-point effort at Dorados on July 24 and a 19-point game against Correcaminos on Aug. 10.

Bejarano has averaged 9.1 points and 6.3 rebounds over his past eight games for Fuerza Regia. He had 18 points and 10 rebounds in a July 30 loss at Aguascalientes and 20 points in Monday’s victory.

Interstat’s ELO system projects Fuerza Regia as a heavy favorite, giving the home team a 98 percent probability of winning the game. Fuerza Regia’s home-court advantage at Gimnasio Nuevo León could also play a factor as it looks to improve to 3-2. Irapuato will aim to bounce back and avoid its third loss in four games.

The teams are scheduled to meet again Sunday, Aug. 16, at the same venue. After Saturday’s game, Irapuato will return home to face Cancun El Calor on Aug. 19 and Aug. 20, while Fuerza Regia will host Gambusinos on those same dates.
