Aguascalientes vs. Gambusinos

(Interstat) — Gambusinos host the Aguascalientes Panteras on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, in a Mexican LNBP matchup at Gambusinos. Both teams enter with 0-0 records, and Interstat’s Elo system gives Aguascalientes a 57.6 percent probability to win. The teams are playing the second game of a two-game set after meeting Wednesday.

Aguascalientes will rely on guard Ahmed Hill, a key figure in the Panteras’ attack. Over his past four games, Hill averaged 8.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists. His strongest recent performance came July 31 against Fuerza Regia, when he played 22 minutes and scored 12 points, adding three rebounds and four assists in an 82-75 loss. In a 90-85 victory over Fuerza Regia on July 30, Hill produced nine points, four rebounds and one blocked shot in 24 minutes. He also scored seven points in each of two games at Diablos Rojos on July 23 and July 24, grabbing four rebounds both nights.

Gambusinos will counter with forward KiAndre Gaddy, who has been a consistent frontcourt presence. Gaddy averaged 10 points and 4.8 rebounds in his last four games. He scored 14 points with four rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot in 25 minutes during a 71-57 loss at Soles on July 31. The previous night, Gaddy had 10 points and nine rebounds in a 69-62 loss at Soles. He also posted 13 points and four rebounds in an 86-71 win over Jal. Astros on July 24, and added three points in a July 25 loss.

Both teams are coming off losses July 31. Aguascalientes fell 82-75 at home to Fuerza Regia, while Gambusinos lost 71-57 at Soles.

Thursday’s outcome could hinge on tempo. Aguascalientes’ Elo edge suggests a slight advantage, but Gambusinos will look to use Gaddy inside to offset the Panteras’ perimeter options. The quick turnaround from Wednesday’s meeting adds an element of familiarity, and adjustments may be limited.

After Thursday, Aguascalientes hosts Lobos Plateados on Aug. 11 and 12, then visits Leon on Aug. 15 and 16. San Luis Potosi arrives Aug. 20 and 21, and the Panteras travel to Zacatecas on Aug. 24 and 25 before hosting Correcaminos on Aug. 28. Gambusinos, meanwhile, visits Dorados on Aug. 10 and 11, hosts Diablos Rojos on Aug. 15 and 16, travels to Fuerza Regia on Aug. 19 and 20, hosts Irapuato on Aug. 24 and 25, and visits Zacatecas on Sept. 21.

For now, both clubs are searching for their first win of the season, and Thursday’s game offers an early chance to set the tone.
