Gambusinos vs. Soles

MEXICALI, Mexico (Interstat) — The Soles will host the Gambusinos on Friday, July 31, 2026, in a Mexican LNBP matchup at Auditorio del Estado.

Soles (17-6) enter the game tied atop the league standings. They dropped consecutive overtime decisions Sunday and Saturday in Monterrey against Fuerza Regia, 95-89 and 94-91, snapping a seven-game winning streak. Gambusinos (6-15) are at the bottom of the standings. They lost 88-80 to the Jal. Astros on Saturday in their most recent outing.

Friday’s contest is the second half of a back-to-back set between the clubs. They played Thursday night in Mexicali, a game that was scoreless at press time. Soles won the most recent head-to-head meeting Aug. 22, 2025, 93-89.

For Soles, guard Joshua Webster is a key player. In the two losses to Fuerza Regia, Webster averaged 14.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists, playing 30 and 31 minutes. He had 16 points, five rebounds and four assists in Sunday’s overtime loss, then 13 points, five rebounds and four assists on Saturday.

Travis Daniels leads Gambusinos. The forward had 18 points and five rebounds in 20 minutes during Saturday’s loss to Jal. Astros. Two nights earlier, in a 86-71 win over the same opponent, he managed seven points and four rebounds in 23 minutes. Daniels has been the team’s most consistent scorer.

Gambusinos will look to break a six-game losing streak. Their last win came July 24 against Jal. Astros. The team has struggled on the road, going 2-8 away from home this season.

Soles are 10-2 at Auditorio del Estado. They have not lost at home since Oct. 17, 2025, when Aguascalientes beat them 82-75. The home crowd could be a factor against a Gambusinos team averaging just 78.3 points per game.

Friday’s game will be played under standard LNBP rules. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. local time.
