Aguascalientes vs. Diablos Rojos

MEXICO CITY (Interstat) — The Diablos Rojos host the Aguascalientes Panteras on Thursday, July 23, 2026, in an LNBP matchup that pits a team surging toward the top of the standings against one fighting to climb above .500.

Diablos Rojos enter the game with a 19-13 record, having won four of their past five contests. They are coming off a 74-84 loss at Fuerza Regia on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, a defeat that snapped a three-game winning streak. In that loss, forward Gael Bonilla, center Kriss Helmanis and small forward Michael Carrera were the top performers for the Mexico City-based club.

The Panteras carry a 13-14 mark into the contest, having split their last two games. They most recently fell 94-104 at Fuerza Regia on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, a defeat in which small forwards Erik Thomas and Jonatan Machado, along with power forward Tyrone White, led the scoring for Aguascalientes. That result followed a 98-88 home win over the same Fuerza Regia squad on Oct. 27.

The teams met twice in Aguascalientes last September, with Diablos Rojos taking both games. On Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, Diablos Rojos won 97-91. The previous night, Saturday, Sept. 13, they edged the Panteras 90-87.

Aguascalientes’ recent form has been inconsistent. The Panteras lost four of five games to Fuerza Regia from Oct. 20-30, but they showed resilience in a split with Soles and a win over Correcaminos. The Panteras have the talent to challenge Diablos Rojos, but the head-to-head history suggests the home team holds a psychological edge.

Diablos Rojos have been strong at home, with a deep roster that includes Bonilla, Helmanis and Carrera. They have won 10 of their last 13 games, with the only losses coming to Fuerza Regia, a top-tier LNBP opponent. Against the rest of the league, Diablos Rojos have been dominant.

For Aguascalientes, the key will be getting contributions from Thomas, Machado and White to break a stubborn Diablos Rojos defense. The Panteras also need to contain Bonilla, who has been a consistent scorer for the Mexico City side.

The game tips off at 8 p.m. local time.
