GUADALAJARA, Mexico (Interstat) — Jal. Astros defeated visiting San Luis Potosi 82-57 on Wednesday in Mexican LNBP action at Unidad Deportiva Avila Camacho. Gage Davis scored 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished one assist to lead Jal. Astros. Eugene Phelps added 11 points and 10 rebounds, Jose Ascanio scored 14 points, and Pedro Bombino Parada contributed eight points and eight rebounds. Jacob Calloway paced San Luis Potosi with nine points, seven rebounds and four assists. Markedric Bell scored 12 points, and Jesus Vazquez added six points. Jasper Floyd had nine points, five rebounds and four assists for Jal. Astros, while Will Yoakum scored eight points and Kyle Brown grabbed seven rebounds for San Luis Potosi. Jal. Astros jumped ahead 25-19 after one quarter and took a 50-32 lead into halftime. San Luis Potosi cut the deficit in the third quarter, outscoring Jal. Astros 13-7, but Jal. Astros closed with a 25-12 fourth quarter. Jal. Astros improved to 4-1, while San Luis Potosi fell to 1-4. The teams played for the second consecutive night, with Jal. Astros winning 103-82 on Tuesday.
