(Interstat) — AGUASCALIENTES AT GAMBUSINOS: PREVIEW

Aguascalientes Panteras (0-0) visit Gambusinos (0-0) on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, in an LNBP matchup. Both teams enter the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional game with 0-0 records, seeking their first victory of the season.

Aguascalientes will rely on guard Ahmed Hill, who has averaged 8.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists over his last four games. In Aguascalientes’ most recent contest, an 82-75 loss to Fuerza Regia on Friday, July 31, Hill played 22 minutes and finished with 12 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. He also scored 9 points with 4 rebounds in a 90-85 win against Fuerza Regia on July 30. In two games at Diablos Rojos on July 23 and 24, Hill scored 7 points each, with Aguascalientes winning the first 91-80 and losing the second 88-91.

Gambusinos will counter with forward KiAndre Gaddy. Gaddy has averaged 10 points and 4.8 rebounds over his last four games. In Gambusinos’ most recent result, a 71-57 loss at Soles on July 31, Gaddy recorded 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. He had 10 points and 9 rebounds in a 69-62 loss at Soles on July 30. Earlier, Gaddy scored 13 points with 4 rebounds in an 86-71 win against Jal. Astros on July 24, and he had 3 points and 2 rebounds in an 88-80 loss to Jal. Astros on July 25. Gaddy has recorded at least one block in three of his last four games.

Gambusinos have lost three of their last four games overall. Aguascalientes has split its last four. Both teams are coming off losses Friday: Aguascalientes fell at home to Fuerza Regia, while Gambusinos fell at Soles.

The matchup will be important early for both clubs. Aguascalientes’ defense must contain Gaddy around the basket and on the boards. Gambusinos will need to limit Hill’s playmaking and scoring. With each team starting fresh at 0-0, the game could hinge on which featured player gets more help.

After Wednesday, Aguascalientes will return home to host Lobos Plateados on Aug. 11 and 12. Gambusinos will travel to Dorados on Aug. 10 and 11.
