CAROLINA, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — The Bayamon Vaqueros defeated Carolina 90-81 on Friday night in a BSN matchup. Bayamon took control in the second quarter, outscoring the home team 31-20 to take a 43-41 halftime lead. The Vaqueros then held Carolina to 18 points in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Damian Jones led Bayamon with 23 points and 10 rebounds, continuing his strong recent performances against Carolina. Jassel Perez added 30 points and five assists. Javier Mojica chipped in 12 points, and Gary Browne had six points and five assists. For Carolina, George Conditt scored 20 points with nine rebounds, and Jaylen Nowell had 17 points and seven assists. Tremont Waters added 11 points, and Hunter Tyson scored 13 off the bench.

Bayamon improved to 28-13 with the win, while Carolina fell to 19-19. The Vaqueros have now won four of their last five meetings with Carolina.
