CAROLINA, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — Scottie James scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Carolina Giants defeated the Guaynabo Mets 111-96 on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in a BSN matchup.

Trailing by six points entering the fourth quarter, Carolina erupted for 39 points in the final period while holding Guaynabo to 25. The Giants improved to 18-14, while the Mets dropped to 12-19.

Daniel Rivera added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Carolina, and Dyondre Dominguez contributed 15 points, four rebounds and two blocks. Josh Rivera had 12 points and seven rebounds, and Luis Lopez dished 12 assists to go with eight points and seven boards. Hunter Tyson scored 11 points.

Pipo Grafals led Guaynabo with 20 points, four rebounds and two assists. The Mets shot 28 points in the first quarter but could not withstand Carolina’s decisive fourth-quarter surge.

The Giants have now won five of their last six games, while Guaynabo has lost three straight. The two teams split their previous three head-to-head meetings this season.
