PUERTO LA CRUZ, Venezuela (Interstat) — Margarita defeated Anzoátegui 81-70 on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Luis Ramos de Puerto La Cruz to win their Venezuelan SLB playoff series 3-1.

The Guaiqueries took control in the second quarter, outscoring the Marinos 29-13 to build a 42-34 halftime lead. Margarita shot 13 points in the first quarter, 20 in the third and 19 in the fourth, while Anzoátegui scored 21 in the first, 19 in the third and 17 in the fourth.

K.J. McDaniels led Anzoátegui with 14 points, three rebounds and two assists. Luis Duarte added 13 points and six rebounds. Gregory Vargas had 12 points, three rebounds and three assists. Juan Miguel Suero contributed 10 points, two rebounds and three assists, and Malik Dime added eight points, four rebounds and two blocks. Nestor Colmenares finished with seven points, three rebounds and two assists.

Margarita improved to 24-17, while Anzoátegui fell to 24-13.
