MEXICO CITY (Interstat) — Trahson Burrell scored 22 points and Chuba Ohams recorded a double-double as Ciudad de Mexico defeated the Tijuana Zonkeys 80-78 in overtime Monday to win the CIBACOPA playoff series 4-3.

Ciudad de Mexico overcame a 24-16 first-quarter deficit by outscoring Tijuana 24-11 in the second quarter. The Zonkeys rallied to take a 70-67 lead after four quarters, but the home team forced overtime with a late surge. In the extra period, Ciudad de Mexico outscored Tijuana 10-8.

Ohams finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Dayon Griffin added 14 points and six rebounds, Jeremiah Davenport contributed 16 points and Fred Cleveland had six points and three assists for the winners.

Alex Williams led Tijuana with 20 points and eight rebounds. Jaquan Lightfoot added 16 points and eight rebounds. Akia Pruitt had 11 points and nine rebounds for the Zonkeys, whose season ended at 22-23. Ciudad de Mexico improved to 23-23.

Tijuana shot 42% from the floor, 32% from three-point range and 75% from the free-throw line. Ciudad de Mexico shot 44%, 35% and 78%, respectively.
