GUADALAJARA (Interstat) — The Jal. Astros defeated the Culiacan Caballeros 112-84 on Saturday in a Mexican CIBACOPA game at Unidad Deportiva Avila Camacho.

The Astros improved to 66-11, while Culiacan fell to 18-21. Jal. Astros outscored Culiacan 30-18 in the first quarter and 33-26 in the second for a 63-44 halftime lead. They won the fourth quarter 28-17 after a 21-23 third.

Makhi Mitchell had 24 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Tyran de Lattibeaudiere scored 21 points, and Trey Burke added 20 points and nine assists. Chris Perry contributed 14 points and eight rebounds, and Sindarius Thornwell had 14 points. Mikh McKinney added 10 points and five assists.

For Culiacan, Johnny Hughes scored 24 points with six rebounds. Roddy Peters finished with 19 points and nine assists. Torren Jones added 12 points and seven rebounds, and Brandon Alston also scored 12 points.

The victory avenged a 94-86 loss to Culiacan the previous night.
