BRASILIA (Interstat) — Lucas Dias Silva scored 30 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Franca to a 91-74 victory over UNICEUB on Saturday in a Brazilian NBB game at Ginasio da ASCEB.

Franca raced to a 28-12 lead after the first quarter. UNICEUB fought back in the second, outscoring Franca 27-20 to trail 48-39 at halftime. The home team continued its rally in the third, winning the period 18-16 to pull within 64-57. Franca regained control in the fourth, outscoring UNICEUB 27-17 to secure the win.

Juan Laterza added 17 points, six rebounds and six assists for Franca. Mooch Jackson contributed 11 points and four assists. For UNICEUB, Rafael Paulichi posted 19 points and nine rebounds, Facundo Corvalan recorded 15 points and 10 assists, and Kevin Crescenzi scored 16 points.

Dias Silva, who scored just five points in the teams’ previous meeting Thursday, led all scorers. Franca improved to 44-13 overall, while UNICEUB dropped to 31-14. The victory avenged a 67-50 loss four days earlier.
